Our Classes

Our youngest storytellers are introduced to the world of make-believe through familiar objects, puppets, and props. A sheet becomes a cozy cave for a sleepy bear, a few chairs transform into a spaceship, and suddenly, we're off on an adventure.

Children are invited to explore and join in at their own pace as we build simple stories together. Along the way, they begin discovering how spectacular things can be when we use our imaginations.

Mini Adventure Stories is currently offered exclusively through our school programs.

In this class, we use picture books as a launching pad into a world of our own making.

Every time we play, we step into a different story and meet a new cast of characters. We might wander through an enchanted garden, find ourselves in a spooky forest, explore a magical castle, or travel through an underground tunnel, with our brave little adventurers leading the way.

This Fall, we’ll be at Spark Place on Tuesdays from 5:15-6:15 PM for a session of Toy Hero Stories. Registration is available on the Spark Place website.

This class builds on the foundation of our Adventure Stories, giving children more time to settle into a single imaginary world and return to its characters, places, and ideas over several weeks.

In Adventure Story Playshop, children shape that world both through play and through the things they create. They might draw a setting, map out the places we’ve discovered, or use cutouts, stickers, and other materials to bring characters and scenes to life. These become part of the adventure as we explore and collaborate.

Adventure Story Playshop is taking a little break from our studio and play space schedule this Fall.

Our oldest storytellers use theatre games, prompts, and props as a springboard for their own original stories. They explore questions that help shape the action (Who is our hero? What do they want? What gets in their way? How will they solve the problem? What unexpected thing might happen along the way?) then bring those ideas to life, acting them out together. 

There’s no script to memorize and no pressure to perform. Our goal is to give kids the space to play together and follow their imaginations wherever they lead.

Epic Adventure Stories is currently offered exclusively through our school programs.

Bring one of our classes to your school or play space for a special visit. We’ll work with you to shape the experience - maybe it's a playdate (or a series of playdates) that connects to your curriculum, introduces a new theme, or simply gives everyone a chance to imagine together.

Put the serious stuff aside and spend some time making things up, trying things out, and seeing where a little silliness can take you. Each session has its own theme and its own set of challenges, but the goal is always the same - come ready to play.
